About John Hockensmith
A native of St. Petersburg, John Hockensmith has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, including sales, marketing, contracting, design, renovation, and investing. His family has been in St. Pete since 1937; both his father and grandfather were residential building contractors who built many homes, apartments and commercial buildings throughout in the area.
John started his career with IBM working in engineering and product marketing. He owned a successful home remodeling company for over 20 years specializing in kitchens and bathrooms, with multiple showrooms in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. In addition to an engineering degree from the University of Florida, John earned an MBA from George Washington University, and a Masters in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University.
John has witnessed first-hand the growth of his hometown into the vibrant city it is today. With his hometown history and extensive knowledge of our community and its wonderful unique neighborhoods, John and his real estate team of Lisa Siver and Cliff Lamb take pride in providing personalized service in helping clients with all their real estate needs, including selling, buying, and leasing.
